Slow-cooked ham is a tender, juicy dish where a cured or fresh ham is cooked slowly over low heat so it becomes flavorful, soft, and easy to slice.

🍯 Classic slow-cooked ham (simple recipe)

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 whole ham (pre-cooked or smoked works best)
  • Β½ cup brown sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1–2 tbsp mustard (optional)
  • 1 cup pineapple juice / orange juice / water
  • Cloves (optional for aroma)

🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prepare the ham
    • Score the surface in a criss-cross pattern
    • Insert cloves if using
  2. Make glaze
    • Mix brown sugar, honey, and mustard
  3. Slow cook
    • Place ham in slow cooker or covered baking dish
    • Add juice at the bottom
    • Cook on low heat for 4–6 hours
  4. Glaze and finish
    • Brush glaze every 1–2 hours
    • For a caramelized top, broil in oven for 5–10 minutes at the end
