Express Cheese Bread (No Yeast)

⏱️ Ready in ~35 minutes total

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup oil or melted butter
  • 1 egg

Optional flavor boosts (pick any):

  • Garlic powder or minced garlic
  • Black pepper or paprika
  • Chopped herbs (parsley, rosemary, chives)
  • A little grated parmesan on top

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 180°C / 350°F. Grease a small loaf pan or line it with parchment.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, salt.
  3. Add cheese and toss so it’s coated in flour.
  4. In another bowl, whisk milk, oil/butter, and egg.
  5. Combine wet + dry just until mixed. Don’t overmix — lumpy is fine.
  6. Pour into pan, smooth the top, add extra cheese if you want 👀
  7. Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool 10 minutes, slice, inhale.

Texture & Tips

  • Soft, fluffy inside with a cheesy crust
  • Best eaten warm
  • Keeps well for 2 days, reheats beautifully in a pan or toaster oven
