🍨🌸 Falooda

Falooda is a rich, layered South Asian dessert drink made with milk, rose syrup, noodles, and toppings—cold, sweet, and very refreshing.


🧾 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 2–3 tbsp rose syrup
  • 2 tbsp soaked basil seeds (sabja/tukmaria)
  • 1/2 cup cooked vermicelli (falooda sev)
  • 2 scoops vanilla or kulfi ice cream
  • Chopped nuts (pistachios, almonds)
  • Optional: jelly cubes or fruit pieces

👩‍🍳 Method:

1. Prepare base:

  • Soak basil seeds in water for 15–20 minutes until they swell.
  • Cook vermicelli, drain, and cool.

2. Assemble layers:
In a tall glass:

  • Add rose syrup at the bottom
  • Add soaked basil seeds
  • Add cooked vermicelli
  • Pour chilled milk over it

3. Top it off:

  • Add a scoop of ice cream
  • Sprinkle chopped nuts and optional jelly or fruits

🍽️ Serving:

  • Serve immediately while cold
  • Best enjoyed with a straw and spoon
