🥔🍽️ Sliced Baked Potato

A sliced baked potato is a simple twist on the classic baked potato—crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, and perfect for adding toppings.


🛒 Ingredients

  • 1–2 large potatoes (Russet works best)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper (optional)
  • Optional toppings: cheese 🧀, herbs 🌿, sour cream, bacon bits 🥓

🍳 Instructions

1. Bake the potato

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Wash and dry potatoes
  • Pierce with a fork
  • Bake for 45–60 minutes until soft inside

2. Slice carefully

  • Let potato cool slightly
  • Slice into even rounds or wedges (don’t cut all the way through if you want a “fan” style)

3. Add seasoning

  • Brush slices with olive oil or butter
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, or herbs

4. Crisp it (optional but delicious)

  • Return to oven for 10–15 minutes
  • This makes edges golden and crispy

5. Add toppings

  • Melt cheese on top
  • Add sour cream, chives, or bacon bits
