🍎 Fried Apple Pies

Crispy golden pastries filled with warm cinnamon apples—like handheld apple pie, but fried for extra crunch.


🧾 Ingredients

🍏 Apple filling

  • 2–3 apples (peeled, chopped small)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (to thicken, optional)

🥟 Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3–4 tbsp butter (cold, cubed)
  • ½ cup milk (add gradually)

🔥 For frying

  • Oil (enough for shallow or deep frying)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make apple filling

In a pan:

  • Melt butter
  • Add apples, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice
  • Cook 8–10 minutes until soft

Optional: add cornstarch slurry to thicken
Let filling cool completely.


2. Make dough

Mix:

  • flour, sugar, salt, baking powder
  • cut in cold butter until crumbly
  • add milk slowly until soft dough forms

Rest 10–15 minutes.


3. Shape pies

  • Roll dough thin
  • Cut into circles (or rectangles)
  • Add spoonful of apple filling
  • Fold and seal edges tightly (press with fork)

4. Fry

  • Heat oil on medium
  • Fry pies until golden brown (2–3 minutes per side)
  • Drain on paper towels

5. Finish (optional)

  • Dust with powdered sugar
  • Or brush with melted butter + cinnamon sugar

You get crispy, flaky Fried apple pie with a warm cinnamon apple filling that tastes like a mini dessert pocket.
