A smoky, spicy, no-mess meal baked in foil—juicy shrimp, seasoned sausage, and tender potatoes all infused with Cajun butter flavor.


🧾 Ingredients (2–3 foil packs)

  • 300–400g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 1 smoked sausage (sliced)
  • 3–4 medium potatoes (cubed small)
  • 2–3 tbsp oil or melted butter
  • 2–3 garlic cloves (minced)

🌶️ Cajun seasoning

  • 1½ tsp paprika (smoked if possible)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust heat)
  • ½ tsp thyme or mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Optional: chili flakes

🍋 Finish

  • Lemon wedges
  • Fresh parsley

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Pre-cook potatoes (important step)

  • Boil potatoes for 5–7 minutes until slightly tender
    (This ensures they cook fully in the oven)
  • Drain and set aside

2. Season everything

In a bowl mix:

  • potatoes + sausage + shrimp
  • oil/butter + garlic
  • Cajun seasoning

Toss until fully coated.


3. Assemble foil packs

  • Place mixture in large foil sheets
  • Fold tightly into sealed packets (leave a little space for steam)

4. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes
  • Open carefully (hot steam inside!)

5. Finish & serve

  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice
  • Sprinkle parsley
