  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup oil

Caramel layer:

  • ½ cup cream
  • Pinch of salt

Toppings:

  • 1–1½ cups pecans (toasted)
  • Chocolate ganache or melted chocolate
  • Extra caramel drizzle

1. Bake the cake

  • Mix dry ingredients in one bowl, wet in another.
  • Combine, then slowly add hot water.
  • Bake at 180°C for 30–35 minutes.

2. Make caramel

  • Melt sugar until golden brown.
  • Add butter, then cream carefully.
  • Stir until smooth and slightly thick.

3. Assemble

  • Slice cake into 2–3 layers.
  • Spread caramel + pecans between layers.
  • Drizzle chocolate ganache on top.

4. Finish

  • Add more caramel drizzle and pecans on top.
  • Chill for 30–60 minutes before serving.
