ππ Chicken and French Fries
A simple and popular comfort meal combining crispy chicken with golden French fries.
π§Ύ Ingredients
π Chicken
- Chicken pieces (breast, wings, or thighs)
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika or chili powder
- Salt & black pepper
- Optional: buttermilk or yogurt for marinating
π French fries
- 3β4 potatoes
- Salt
- Oil for frying

1. Prepare chicken
- Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, and optional yogurt (30 minβ2 hrs for softness)
- Coat in flour mixed with spices
- Dip in egg, then coat again for extra crispiness
2. Fry chicken
- Heat oil to medium-high
- Fry until golden brown and fully cooked inside
- Drain on paper towel
3. Make fries
- Cut potatoes into strips
- Soak in cold water (removes extra starch β crispier fries)
- Dry well
- Fry twice if possible:
- First fry: low heat (soft inside)
- Second fry: high heat (crispy outside)
- Salt immediately after frying
