🥩 1. Classic Garlic & Soy Marinade (balanced, savory)

Best for: everyday grilled steak

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 2–3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Marinate time: 2–12 hours


🔥 2. BBQ-Style Smoky Marinade

Best for: grilled or pan-seared steak

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar or honey
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder

  • Salt & black pepper

Marinate time: 1–4 hours (don’t over-marinate)


🌶️ 4. Spicy Chili Lime Marinade

Best for: flank or fajita-style steak

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1–2 tsp chili flakes or hot sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin

Flavor: tangy, spicy, fresh
Marinate time: 2–6 hours

  • Don’t marinate too long in acidic mixtures (can make meat mushy).
  • Always refrigerate while marinating.
  • Pat steak dry before cooking for a better crust.
  • Salt helps flavor, but soy sauce already adds saltiness.
