Laundry frequency depends on clothing type, sweat level, climate, and personal hygiene, but there are some practical general rules:

๐Ÿงบ Everyday clothing

  • Underwear & socks: after every use
  • T-shirts / tops: after 1 wear (or 2 if lightly worn in cool weather)
  • Pants/jeans: after 3โ€“6 wears (jeans often last longer unless visibly dirty)

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Bedding & sleepwear

  • Bedsheets: every 1โ€“2 weeks
  • Pillowcases: 1โ€“2 times per week (more often if acne or oily skin)
  • Pajamas: every 3โ€“4 wears

  • Gym clothes: after every workout (they trap sweat and bacteria quickly)

๐Ÿงฅ Outerwear

  • Jackets/coats: a few times per season unless stained or sweaty
  • Sweaters/hoodies: every 3โ€“7 wears depending on layering

Wash more often if:

  • Hot/humid weather (like summers in many parts of Pakistan)
  • Heavy sweating or outdoor work
  • Skin conditions or allergies
  • Illness

Wash less often if:

  • You wear clothes briefly indoors
  • You layer clothing (reduces direct skin contact)

  • Over-washing can wear out fabric and fade colors
  • Under-washing can lead to odor, bacteria buildup, and skin irritation
