Here’s a fun, colorful Cotton Candy Popcorn recipe—sweet, crunchy, and perfect for parties, movie nights, or gifts 🎡🍿

Cotton Candy Popcorn

Ingredients

  • 10 cups popped popcorn (plain, air-popped)
  • 1 cup white chocolate or candy melts
  • 1 packet cotton candy drink mix or
    1–2 tsp cotton candy flavoring
  • Pink & blue food coloring (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep popcorn: Place popcorn in a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels.
  2. Melt chocolate: Microwave white chocolate in 20-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  3. Flavor: Stir cotton candy mix or flavoring into melted chocolate.
  4. Color (optional): Divide chocolate into two bowls. Tint one pink, one blue.
  5. Coat popcorn: Drizzle chocolate over popcorn. Toss gently to coat.
  6. Decorate: Add sprinkles if using.
  7. Set: Spread on parchment paper and let cool 30–45 minutes until hardened.
  8. Serve or store: Break apart and enjoy!

Tips for Best Results

  • Use dry popcorn—butter or oil will prevent coating
  • Don’t overheat white chocolate (it seizes easily)
  • For extra crunch, let it fully cool before storing

Variations

  • Marshmallow version: Melt 3 tbsp butter + 4 cups mini marshmallows, stir in cotton candy flavor, then coat popcorn
  • Pastel swirl: Drizzle pink and blue separately without mixing
  • Gift jars: Layer colors for a carnival look

Storage

  • Store in an airtight container up to 3 days
  • Best eaten fresh for maximum crunch
