Often the strongest warning sign:
- Sudden weakness or numbness in face, arm, or leg (usually one side)
- Temporary difficulty speaking or understanding speech
- Brief vision loss or blurred vision in one eye
- Dizziness or loss of balance
These symptoms may last minutes to hours and then disappear—but they are serious.

- Occasional slurred speech or trouble finding words
- Mild confusion or difficulty concentrating
- Short episodes of memory trouble

- Brief double vision
- Flickering or partial loss of vision

- Unexplained clumsiness
- Temporary weakness in hand grip
