Here’s a simple way to make air-fried chicken pieces that come out crispy on the outside and juicy inside.

🍗 Air-Fried Chicken Pieces

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, or boneless cubes)
  • 2–3 tbsp yogurt or oil (for marination)
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika or Kashmiri chili (for color)
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Optional: 1–2 tbsp cornflour or breadcrumbs (for extra crispiness)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken
    Mix all ingredients with the chicken pieces. Coat well and let it rest for at least 30 minutes (2–4 hours is even better).
  2. Preheat air fryer
    Set your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Arrange chicken
    Place chicken pieces in a single layer in the basket. Don’t overcrowd.
  4. Cook
    Air fry at 180°C for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Crisp it up
    Increase temperature to 200°C (390°F) for the last 3–5 minutes if you want extra crispiness.

Tips for best results

  • Lightly spray oil on top before cooking for better browning.
  • Boneless pieces cook faster than bone-in.
  • Always check doneness: chicken should reach 74°C inside or be fully white with no pink.
