🍎 Baked Apple Fritters

These baked apple fritters are soft, fluffy, and filled with cinnamon-spiced apples—then finished with a light glaze. They’re like donut-style fritters, but baked instead of fried.

🛒 Ingredients

For the apples:

  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced Apple
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

For the batter:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Glaze (optional but recommended):

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

🔥 Step 1: Cook the apples

  • Melt butter in a pan.
  • Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  • Cook for 3–5 minutes until slightly soft.
  • Set aside to cool.

🥣 Step 2: Make the batter

  • Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  • Fold in cooked apples.

🔥 Step 3: Bake the fritters

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter onto tray (rustic shapes are fine).
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and cooked through.

🍬 Step 4: Add glaze

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Drizzle over warm fritters.
