Here’s a simple, perfectly fluffy Baked Potato recipe—crispy skin outside, soft and buttery inside.


🥔 Baked Potato

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1–4 large potatoes (russet or baking potatoes work best)
  • 1–2 tbsp oil (olive oil or any cooking oil)
  • Salt (coarse or regular)
  • Optional toppings:
    • Butter
    • Cheese
    • Sour cream or yogurt
    • Black pepper
    • Chopped herbs (parsley, chives)
    • Cooked chicken or veggies

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep the potatoes

  • Wash and scrub potatoes well
  • Dry completely
  • Poke a few holes with a fork (prevents bursting)

2. Season the skin

  • Rub potatoes with oil
  • Sprinkle generously with salt

This gives you that crispy, flavorful skin.


3. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F)
  • Place potatoes directly on oven rack or tray
  • Bake for 45–60 minutes (depending on size)

They’re done when a knife slides in easily.


4. Fluff & serve

  • Cut a slit on top
  • Gently squeeze ends to open
  • Fluff inside with a fork

Add butter first so it melts into the steam.


5. Load it up

Top with your favorites:

  • herbs
  • chili flakes
  • or even fried chicken/beans for a full meal
