🍝 Beef Lasagna
A classic beef lasagna is rich, cheesy, and layered with hearty meat sauce, creamy béchamel (or ricotta), and tender pasta sheets—pure comfort food.
🛒 Ingredients
🥩 Meat sauce (Bolognese style)
- 500g ground beef Beef
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp basil
- Salt & black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
🧀 Cheese layer
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese Parmesan cheese
- 1–1.5 cups ricotta or white sauce (béchamel)
🍝 Pasta
- 9–12 lasagna sheets Lasagna
- Salt (for boiling water if not using oven-ready sheets)
🔥 Step 1: Make the beef sauce
- Heat olive oil in a pan.
- Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer 15–20 minutes until thick and rich.
🍝 Step 2: Prepare pasta sheets
- Boil lasagna sheets until just soft (skip if oven-ready).
- Drain and lay flat to prevent sticking.
🧀 Step 3: Assemble layers
In a baking dish, layer in this order:
- Meat sauce
- Lasagna sheets
- Ricotta or béchamel
- Mozzarella + parmesan
Repeat layers until finished, ending with cheese on top.
🔥 Step 4: Bake
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
🍽️ Step 5: Rest & serve
- Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before cutting (important for clean slices).
- Serve warm.
