Here’s a simple and delicious way to make a cream cheese roll—soft, slightly sweet, and perfect for tea or dessert:


🍰 Cream Cheese Roll (Soft Swiss Roll Style)

Ingredients:

For the sponge:

  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2–3 tbsp milk

For the filling:

  • 200g cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2–3 tbsp cream (optional, for smoother texture)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Make the sponge:

  • Beat eggs + sugar until light and fluffy
  • Add vanilla and milk
  • Gently fold in flour + baking powder
  • Pour into a lined baking tray (thin layer)

2. Bake:

  • Bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes (don’t overbake)

3. Roll while warm:

  • Turn cake onto a clean cloth or baking paper
  • Roll it up gently while still warm (this prevents cracking)
  • Let it cool in rolled shape

4. Prepare filling:

  • Beat cream cheese + sugar + vanilla until smooth

5. Assemble:

  • Unroll cake
  • Spread cream cheese filling evenly
  • Roll it back tightly

6. Chill & serve:

  • Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes
  • Slice and enjoy

  • Add strawberry or mango jam with the cream cheese
  • Sprinkle crushed biscuits or nuts inside
  • Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle chocolate on top
