A hearty one-pan skillet meal—crispy potatoes, sweet caramelized onions, and smoky sausage all cooked together until golden and flavorful.


🧾 Ingredients

  • 3–4 medium potatoes (sliced into thin wedges or cubes)
  • 1 smoked Polish sausage (sliced)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 2–3 tbsp oil or butter
  • 2–3 garlic cloves (optional)
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked paprika is best)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

1. Prep potatoes

  • Cut potatoes evenly so they cook at the same rate
  • Optional: soak in water 15–20 minutes for extra crispiness
  • Pat dry completely

2. Start cooking potatoes

  • Heat oil in a large skillet (medium-high heat)
  • Add potatoes, salt, pepper, and paprika
  • Cook 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden and tender

3. Add sausage

  • Push potatoes to the side
  • Add sliced smoked sausage
  • Let it brown and release flavor (3–5 minutes)
  • Mix everything together

4. Add onions

  • Add sliced onions (and garlic if using)
  • Cook until soft and slightly caramelized

5. Finish

  • Taste and adjust seasoning
  • Add chili flakes or parsley if desired
