Here’s a rich, crowd-pleasing Fully Loaded Classic Chili Cheese Dog Casserole—all the flavors of chili cheese dogs baked into a comforting, shareable dish.

🌭 Fully Loaded Classic Chili Cheese Dog Casserole

🧾 Ingredients

Base

  • 6–8 hot dogs (beef or chicken), sliced into bite-size pieces
  • 1 can (8–10) refrigerated biscuit dough or 1 tube pizza dough
  • 1 tbsp butter (for greasing)

Chili layer

  • 1 can (400g) kidney beans, drained (optional but classic)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 250–300g ground beef
  • 1 cup tomato sauce or passata
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup water or beef stock

Cheese topping

  • 2–3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella (optional for extra melt)

Optional toppings (fully loaded style)

  • Jalapeños
  • Chopped green onions
  • Mustard drizzle
  • Pickles
  • Crushed tortilla chips or fried onions

🍳 Instructions

1. Make the chili

In a pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, beans, spices, and stock. Simmer 10–15 minutes until thick.

2. Prep the base

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease a baking dish with butter. Cut biscuit dough into quarters and spread evenly across the base.

3. Add hot dogs

Scatter sliced hot dogs evenly over the dough layer.

4. Add chili

Pour the hot chili mixture over everything, spreading it evenly.

5. Cheese it up

Top generously with shredded cheddar (and mozzarella if using).

6. Bake

Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the dough is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and golden.

7. Load it up

Finish with jalapeños, green onions, mustard drizzle, or crunchy toppings for that “fully loaded” finish.

🍽️ Serving ideas

  • Serve hot straight from the baking dish
  • Pair with coleslaw or fries
  • Great for parties, game nights, or family dinners

💡 Tips

  • For a smokier flavor, use smoked beef hot dogs.
  • Want it spicier? Add cayenne or hot sauce into the chili.
  • You can make it ahead and refrigerate before baking.

If you want, I can also make a air-fryer mini version, a low-carb version, or a super spicy Texas-style chili dog casserole.
