Honey glazed carrots

🥕 Honey Glazed Carrots (Sweet, Buttery Side Dish)

A simple side dish that’s slightly sweet, glossy, and goes well with almost any meal.


🧾 Ingredients

  • 500g carrots (sliced into rounds or sticks)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
  • 1–2 tbsp water
  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon or garlic powder

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the carrots

  • Boil or steam carrots for 6–8 minutes until just tender (not mushy)
  • Drain well

2. Make the glaze

  • In a pan, melt butter over medium heat
  • Add honey + water + salt (and optional spices)
  • Stir until smooth and slightly bubbly

3. Glaze the carrots

  • Add cooked carrots into the pan
  • Toss and cook for 2–4 minutes until fully coated and glossy

🍽️ Serve

  • Serve warm as a side dish
  • Great with chicken, beef, or roast meals

💡 Tips

  • Don’t overcook carrots or they’ll lose texture
  • Add a splash of lemon juice for a slight tang
  • For deeper flavor, roast carrots instead of boiling
