🦞 Lemon Garlic Lobster Tails

🧂 Ingredients (2 servings)

  • 2 lobster tails (fresh or thawed) lobster
  • 4 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 3–4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (fresh)
  • 1 tsp lemon zest (optional but recommended)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • Lemon slices (for serving)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the lobster

  • Using kitchen scissors, cut the top shell of the lobster tail down the center.
  • Gently loosen the meat and lift it slightly above the shell (this is called “piggybacking”).
  • Place on a baking tray.

2. Make lemon garlic butter

  • Mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

3. Brush & season

  • Generously brush the butter mixture over the lobster meat.
  • Save a little for basting later.

4. Bake or broil

Oven method:

  • Preheat to 200°C (400°F)
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes depending on size

Broil method (best for color):

  • Broil on high for 5–8 minutes
  • Brush with extra butter halfway through

5. Finish

  • Sprinkle fresh parsley on top.
  • Add a final squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
