Here’s a classic **Mongolian beef recipe—quick, rich, and better than takeout:


🥩 Mongolian Beef Recipe

🧂 Ingredients

  • 400g beef (flank steak or boneless, thinly sliced)
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • Oil for frying

Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp ginger (grated)
  • 4–5 garlic cloves (minced)

Extras:

  • 3–4 green onions (cut into 2-inch pieces)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp oil (for sauce)

🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the beef

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain.
  • Coat with cornstarch and let sit for 10 minutes.

2. Fry the beef

  • Heat oil in a pan or wok.
  • Fry beef in batches until crispy edges form.
  • Remove and set aside.

3. Make the sauce

  • In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil.
  • Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
  • Add soy sauce, sugar, and water.
  • Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.

4. Combine

  • Add fried beef back into the sauce.
  • Toss well until coated and sauce thickens.
  • Add green onions and black pepper.

🍽️ Serve

  • Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.
