- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 egg
- Β½ cup breadcrumbs

- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt

- Β½ tsp paprika (optional)

- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Β½ cup mushrooms (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
π Rice
- 2 cups white rice
- 4 cups water
- Pinch of salt

1. Cook rice
- Rinse rice and cook with water and salt.
- Simmer until fluffy, then set aside.
2. Make patties
- Mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Shape into oval patties.
3. Cook patties
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties 4β5 minutes per side until browned.
- Remove and set aside.
4. Make gravy
- In same pan, melt butter.
- Stir in flour and cook 1β2 minutes.
- Slowly add beef broth while whisking.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and mushrooms.
- Simmer until thickened.
5. Finish dish
- Return patties to gravy.
- Simmer 5β10 minutes until fully cooked and flavorful.
6. Serve
- Spoon rice onto plate.
- Top with Salisbury steak and generous gravy.
