Seafood salad

A seafood salad is a cold or chilled dish made with a mix of seafood and a creamy or tangy dressing. It’s popular as a light meal, appetizer, or side dish.


🦐 Classic Seafood Salad

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp (peeled, deveined)
  • 1 cup crab meat (or imitation crab)
  • ½ cup cooked calamari (optional)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1–2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp mustard (optional)
  • 1 small celery stalk (finely chopped)
  • 1–2 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: parsley, dill, or chili flakes

🥗 Instructions:

  1. Cook seafood if not already cooked, then let it cool completely.
  2. Chop shrimp, crab, and other seafood into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add seafood, celery, and onion.
  5. Mix gently so seafood stays intact.
  6. Chill in the fridge for 20–30 minutes before serving.

🍋 Serving ideas:

  • On lettuce leaves 🥬
  • In sandwiches or wraps 🌯
  • With crackers or toasted bread 🥖
  • As a side dish with grilled fish or chicken

💡 Tips:

  • Don’t overcook seafood—it becomes rubbery
  • Add lemon right before serving for freshness
  • You can make it lighter by using yogurt instead of mayo
