🥖 Texas Roadhouse Rolls (Soft & Fluffy Copycat)

These are famous for being super soft, slightly sweet, and pillowy inside—perfect with butter or honey cinnamon butter.


🧾 Ingredients

🥐 Dough

  • 3½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp butter (softened)

🧈 For brushing

  • 2–3 tbsp melted butter

🍯 Honey cinnamon butter (optional but iconic)

  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1–2 tbsp powdered sugar (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Activate dough

  • Mix warm milk, water, sugar, and yeast
  • Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy

2. Make dough

Add:

  • egg
  • butter
  • flour
  • salt

Mix and knead for 8–10 minutes until soft and smooth.


3. First rise

  • Cover and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size

4. Shape rolls

  • Roll dough and cut into squares
  • Place on greased tray close together

5. Second rise

  • Let rest 30–45 minutes until puffy

6. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Bake 12–15 minutes until light golden

7. Finish

  • Brush immediately with melted butter
