🧾 Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts (butterflied and pounded thin)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Β½ cup flour
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

  • 4 potatoes (peeled and chopped)
  • 2–3 tbsp butter
  • Β½ cup milk

🍲 Gravy

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt & pepper

1. Prepare schnitzel

  • Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  • Coat in flour β†’ dip in egg β†’ coat in breadcrumbs.

2. Fry

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Fry chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  • Drain on paper towels.

3. Make mashed potatoes

  • Boil potatoes until soft.
  • Mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth and creamy.

4. Make gravy

  • Melt butter in a pan.
  • Stir in flour and cook 1–2 minutes.
  • Slowly add broth, whisking until smooth and thick.
  • Season to taste.

🍽️ Serving

  • Plate schnitzel beside mashed potatoes
  • Pour gravy over potatoes (or lightly over schnitzel)
