🍎🌰 Apple Pecan Cake

Apple pecan cake is a moist, warmly spiced cake made with fresh apples and crunchy pecans. It’s often flavored with cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla—perfect for fall or cozy desserts.


🍰 Ingredients

Dry ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • ¼ tsp salt

Wet ingredients

  • ½ cup butter (softened) or oil
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk or yogurt

Mix-ins

  • 2 medium apples (peeled and chopped)
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans
  • Optional: raisins or walnuts

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prep oven

  • Preheat to 175°C (350°F)
  • Grease and line a cake pan

2. Mix dry ingredients

  • Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together

3. Make batter

  • Cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy
  • Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla
  • Mix in milk or yogurt
  • Gradually add dry ingredients until combined

4. Add apples & pecans

  • Fold in chopped apples and pecans evenly

5. Bake

  • Pour into pan
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean

6. Cool & serve

  • Let cool before slicing
  • Optional: dust with powdered sugar or drizzle caramel sauce
