🥐 Freshly Baked Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

These are warm, flaky crescent rolls filled with savory sausage and creamy, tangy cream cheese—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or party appetizers.

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count or 12-count)
  • 250–300g breakfast sausage (or ground sausage)
  • 4 oz (115g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional but recommended)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the sausage

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked.
  • Drain excess grease and let it cool slightly.

2. Make the filling

  • In a bowl, mix:
    • cooked sausage
    • cream cheese
    • cheddar cheese (if using)
    • garlic powder
    • black pepper
    • green onions (optional)
  • Stir until creamy and well combined.

3. Fill the crescents

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Unroll crescent dough and separate triangles.
  • Place 1–2 tbsp filling at the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll up tightly toward the tip.

4. Bake

  • Place rolls on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.

5. Serve

  • Serve warm straight from the oven.
  • Optional: serve with dipping sauces like:
    • honey mustard
    • ranch
    • hot sauce

🔥 Tips

  • Let sausage cool slightly so it doesn’t melt the dough.
  • Don’t overfill or they may burst while baking.
  • For extra golden tops, brush with melted butter before baking.
