Gooey Marshmallow Caramel Popcorn

Posted on April 23, 2026 by Admin

Gooey Marshmallow Caramel Popcorn is a sweet, sticky snack made by coating popcorn in melted marshmallows and caramel-like sugar syrup. It’s soft, chewy, and perfect for parties or movie nights.

🍿 What it is like

  • Crunchy popcorn wrapped in soft, stretchy marshmallow caramel
  • Sweet, buttery flavor with a chewy texture
  • Often forms clusters you can break apart with your hands

🧂 Ingredients

  • 8–10 cups popped popcorn (plain, unsalted)
  • 3–4 cups marshmallows
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar (for caramel depth)
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup or honey (helps gooey texture)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 How to make it

  1. Prepare popcorn
    • Pop corn and place in a large mixing bowl
    • Remove unpopped kernels
  2. Make gooey caramel-marshmallow mix
    • Melt butter in a pan
    • Add brown sugar + corn syrup and stir until bubbling
    • Add marshmallows and melt on low heat
    • Stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt
  3. Combine
    • Pour hot mixture over popcorn
    • Mix quickly so everything gets coated evenly (use greased spatula or hands lightly oiled)
  4. Set
    • Spread on baking paper or tray
    • Let cool for 10–20 minutes until slightly firm but still chewy

🍬 Texture & flavor

  • Soft, sticky, and chewy coating
  • Sweet caramel flavor with vanilla notes
  • Light crunch from popcorn inside

💡 Tips

  • Work fast—marshmallow mix sets quickly
  • Lightly grease hands to avoid sticking
  • Add mix-ins like:
    • Chocolate chips 🍫
    • Nuts (almonds, peanuts) 🌰
    • Sprinkles for parties 🎉

🧠 Simple idea

It’s basically popcorn turned into a chewy candy snack bar, where marshmallow acts like edible glue.
