The room in Reverie felt like it existed between memory and sleep.
Shadows moved softly across the walls, as if the air itself was remembering something it could not fully explain. In the center of it all stood him—Sendhil Ramamurthy—still, but not calm.
His eyes held a weight that didn’t belong to the present moment. It was the look of someone standing at the edge of two worlds, one real and one dissolving.
A faint hum filled the space, like a distant signal trying to break through interference. He took a slow step forward, then stopped, as if the ground might change beneath him if he trusted it too much.
“Not again,” he whispered—not to anyone in the room, but to whatever was listening beyond it.
The light flickered. For a second, the room bent—streets, faces, fragments of another life slipping through like broken reflections in water.
And then it steadied.
But nothing felt fully real anymore, not even him.
