Stretch your ring finger using your thumb and hold for a few seconds

Posted on April 23, 2026 by Admin

That’s a simple hand stretch exercise often used to improve finger flexibility and reduce stiffness.

How to do it

  1. Hold your hand out, palm facing you.
  2. Use your thumb to gently pull back your ring finger.
  3. Pull just enough to feel a mild stretch—don’t force it.
  4. Hold for 5–10 seconds.
  5. Release and relax.
  6. Repeat 3–5 times, then switch hands.

What it helps with

  • Finger flexibility
  • Reducing stiffness (especially if you type a lot or use your phone often)
  • Light hand mobility and coordination

Important tips

  • It should feel like a gentle stretch, not pain
  • Don’t overbend the finger backward
  • If you feel sharp pain, stop immediately

If you want, I can give you a short set of hand exercises for typing, gaming, or reducing wrist strain.
