Dollywood cinnamon bread

Dollywood cinnamon bread is a famous sweet, buttery pull-apart loaf coated in cinnamon sugar and often served warm with icing or cream cheese dip. It’s soft inside, crispy-sugary outside, and extremely addictive—basically theme-park comfort in bread form.


🧾 Ingredients

🍞 Dough (quick version)

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ tsp instant yeast

  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🍯 Cinnamon sugar coating

  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp cinnamon

🍦 Optional glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Method

1. Make dough

  • Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  • Add flour, salt, egg, butter, and vanilla.
  • Knead until smooth and elastic (8–10 minutes).

2. First rise

  • Cover and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled.

3. Shape bread

  • Roll dough into a rectangle.
  • Cut into strips or chunks (rustic pieces work best).

4. Coat in cinnamon sugar

  • Dip each piece in melted butter.
  • Roll generously in cinnamon-sugar mixture.

5. Assemble & second rise

  • Layer coated pieces in a greased loaf pan.
  • Let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.

6. Bake

  • Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes
  • Until golden brown and cooked through

7. Finish

  • Drizzle with glaze while warm (optional).
  • Pull apart and serve warm.
