A mac ’n cheese burger is a stacked comfort-food creation where a juicy beef patty is topped (or sandwiched) with creamy macaroni and cheese inside a soft burger bun. It’s rich, messy, and very indulgent.


🧾 Ingredients

🍔 Burger base

  • 1–2 beef patties
  • Salt & black pepper
  • Burger buns (soft, toasted)
  • Lettuce, pickles, or onion (optional)

🧀 Mac & cheese layer

  • 1 cup cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup milk or cream
  • 1–1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar works best)
  • Salt & pepper

🍯 Sauce (optional)

  • Mayo or burger sauce (mayo + ketchup + mustard)

1. Make mac & cheese

  • Melt butter in a pan.
  • Add milk and cheese, stir until smooth and creamy.
  • Mix in cooked macaroni and set aside.

2. Cook the patty

  • Season beef with salt and pepper.
  • Cook in a hot pan or grill 3–4 minutes per side until browned.
  • Add cheese slice on top if you want extra melt.

3. Toast buns

  • Lightly butter and toast until golden.

4. Assemble burger

  • Bottom bun
  • Sauce (optional)
  • Beef patty
  • Spoonful of mac & cheese (generous layer)
  • Optional toppings (lettuce, pickles)
  • Top bun
